Urban Quarter Stuttgart
The Urban Quarter Stuttgart project responds to the city's growing need for integrated living and working environments. Situated on a former industrial site at the edge of the city center, the proposal creates a new urban fabric that mediates between the existing residential neighborhoods and the commercial core.
The masterplan organizes a series of building volumes around a central green corridor that connects to the broader public space network. Varying building heights and typologies — from courtyard housing to tower elements — create a diverse urban silhouette while maintaining a coherent architectural language.
Sustainability is embedded at every scale: from the district energy concept and rainwater management systems to the choice of materials and the integration of urban agriculture on rooftop terraces. The ground floors are conceived as flexible spaces that can adapt to changing uses over time, ensuring the quarter remains vibrant and responsive to community needs.
